Mamta maternity and nursing home was established in March 1978 in the newly developing Garodia Nagar , by Dr.V.Devarajan and Late Dr.( Mrs.) Shobhana Devarajan. It has been providing excellent services in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology since its inception to date. Dr Sangeeta Raman Girdhar, their daughter joined the practice in 2004 and the nursing home continues to provide the best care in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology and will continue to do so. It expanded to add the department of ophthalmology in the year 2008 run by Dr.Raman Girdhar and also provides excellent eye care since the last so many years.

Dr.V.Devarajan is a man with a mission. Having done his medical studies at KEM and Nowrosjee Wadia hospital, he began his practice in 1972. He has been one of the most trusted and well recognised doctors in Mumbai, especially in the area of Chembur and Ghatkopar since 1978. He has been responsible for delivering thousands of babies and has given immense joy to a multitude of families over the last so many years. His expertise in gynaecology is commendable and he continues his mission even at the ripe age of 80. He is always available for his patients and is loyal and committed to their care.
